UPP010 Study Skills Overview Assessment 2 – Oral Presentation  This assessment has only one part – the oral presentation.  It should last for between 5-8 minutes.  You must accompany/demonstrate your talk with some visual aids. The topic you present on will be a topic of your choice, and must be something that you already know about and are interest in. (Your lecturer and tutor will give you more details about this). You should begin your preparation by deciding on your topic, and then checking with your tutor that the topic is suitable for the situation. After this, a good approach would be to make some notes about what you wish to include in your presentation. Presenting a talk with 3 main aspects of the topic is logical and will help you think about the structure of your talk.  When you give your presentation, you should begin with an introduction, where you tell your audience what you will be talking about, and then tell them what the 3 main areas are that you will present on.  Then talk about those three areas – this is the body of your talk.  Then finish with a conclusion in which you summarise briefly what you have talked about.
