Create a new Model - ArchiSurance.archimate To start with this practical work, this week you need to do 3 things: 1. Follow the link below and bookmark it for your future reference: Getting started with Archimate and modelling 2. Read the first 6 pages of the Archi 3.3.0 User guide and implement everything it says, 3. Save the new Model that you created as "ArchiSurance.archimate" and submit it for this week Note Textbook chapter 5 -Section 5.10 Modelling Example- describe the ArchiSurance case study. Week 5 TOGAF ADM Phase A: Architecture Vision A. Enterprise vision - stakeholder concerns 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Enterprise vision" then under folder "Enterprise vision" create a new ArchiMate diagram called "stakeholder concerns". this diagram should include all the stakeholders that you think are relevant in ArchiSurance. Example B. Enterprise vision - Enterprise Goals 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Enterprise vision" then under folder "Enterprise vision" create a new ArchiMate diagram called "Enterprise Goals". this diagram should include all the Business Goals Associated with the Drivers relevant in ArchiSurance (i.e. customer satisfaction, increase market share. etc) Example Business Goals Associated with the Driver Profit: Principle view: Week 6-TOGAF ADM Phase B: Business Architecture A. Baseline Organisation Structure (Archimate) ( or Organization Decomposition diagram(TOGAF) 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Business" then under folder "Business" create a new ArchiMate diagram called "Baseline Organisation Structure". this diagram should include all the entities (i.e. main Stakeholders and departments) relevant in ArchiSurance. B. Baseline Business Functions 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Business" then under folder "Business" create a new ArchiMate diagram called "Baseline Business Functions". this diagram should include all the Business functions list above. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Business" then under folder "Business" create a new ArchiMate diagram called "Handle claims". this diagram should include all the Business sub-processes, which is performed when a damage claim has been received 3. under folder "Business" create a new ArchiMate diagram called "Close contract". this diagram should include all the Business sub-processes when the customer cancels an insurance policy . example "Issue new policy". Week 8 1. TOGAF ADM Phase C: Baseline Information Systems Architectures (Applications) 2. TOGAF ADM Phase C: Baseline Information Systems Architectures (Data) A. Application Co-Operation View 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Application" then under folder "Application" create a new ArchiMate diagram called " Application Co-Operation View“. B.Business-Appication Service -Application Alignment view 1. b. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Application" then under folder "Application" create a new ArchiMate diagram called " Business-Application Alignment“. Baseline Information Systems Architectures (Data) 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Data Model" then under folder " Data Model " create a new ArchiMate diagram called " Logical Data View“ for ArchiSurance. 3. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Data Model" then under folder " Data Model " create a new ArchiMate diagram that shows the Data Dissemination View for Auto insurance application of ArchiSurance. Here is an example of a Data Dissemination diagram: Week 9 TOGAF ADM Phase D: Baseline Technology Architecture A. Baseline Technology Architecture (TOGAF counterpart of this viewpoint is the Environments and Locations diagram) 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Technology" then under folder "Technology" create a new ArchiMate diagram called " Infrastructure view“. The main infrastructure components of ArchiSurance, grouped by location and department. Also the networks that connect the different devices, and the (application) artifacts deployed on the devices, must be shown in this view. Example: Week 10 TOGAF ADM Phase C: Baseline Information Systems Architectures (Applications) Business-Application Alignment 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Application" then under folder "Application" create a new ArchiMate diagram called " Business-Application Alignment“. This diagram must show a subset of the services offered by the applications used by the Home & Away division of ArchiSurance, and which of the sub-processes of the claim handling process make use of which of these services. Also must show a subset of the services offered by the applications used by the Car insurance division of ArchiSurance, and which of the sub-processes of the claim handling process make use of which of these services. Here is an example: Week 11 Change Scenarios -ArchiSurance Change Scenarios Activity 1: Goal Refinement View 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "Enterprise vision" then under folder "Business vision" create a new ArchiMate diagram called "Refined Business Goals and Principles ". this diagram should include all refinement of (high-level) goals into more concrete goals, and the refinement of concrete goals into requirements or constraints that describe the properties that are needed to realize the goals. The refinement of goals into sub-goals is modeled using the aggregation relationship. Activity 2: Target Business Architecture and Gap Analysis 1. Open the ArchiMate project (ArchiSurance) you have created in previous week 2. On the left hand side under the folder "Views" find or create folder "application" then under folder "Application" create a new ArchiMate diagram called "target application landscape". this diagram should shows the proposed target situation for the application landscape.
