ASSESSMENT DESCRIPTION:
The exercise will enable the students to develop oral presentation skills and also write a summary highlighting
the presentation. The topics are as follows:
1)The most provocative ads
2)The law of advertising
c)Funny Advertising
4) Most expensive advertisement
5) Most expensive Ads
6) Sex and advertising
7) Using Hashtags, Instagram to created targeted ads.
Further information regarding the topic will be provide during the Week 1 class. Students are required to
finalised their choice of topic and confirm that with the lecturer.
Week 4
The exercise will involve the investigation of the topic designated. Students will select one of the topics and
discussed it in class. The student will be required to give a 10 minutes oral presentation with about 5-6
powerpoint slides about the topic. At the start of the presentation, students should submit a written summary
of 300 words highlighting the presentation together with the powerpoint slides. These should be posted in
MOODLE.
Oral presentation – 4 marks
Summary paper – 1 mark
Week 8
Continuing from Week 4 topics, students will be required to do a presentation of the use of media to put up
the advertisement of the topic selected in Week 4. The student will be required to give a 10 minutes oral
presentation with about 5-6 powerpoints slides. At the start of the presentation, students should submit a
written summary of 300 words highlighting the presentation together with the powerpoint slides. These
should be posted in MOODLE.
Oral presentation – 4 marks
Summary paper – 1 mark.
