This assessment is the FINAL submission of the research project.
You must include the following in your paper:
ICMS Cover Page Abstract: (less than 200 words) o Background of the topic o Purpose statement o Threads / main points raised in the argument o Conclusion Introduction: (about 15-20% of the word count) o Orientation / background of the topic o Outline threads / main points raised in the argument o Purpose statement o Scope / limitations o Gap/s in the literature o Methodologies used Body: o 3 – 4 threads / main points as headings

Grading Criteria Rubric:

Have the background, purpose statement, main points and conclusion been included? Introduction: 10% Is the opening engaging? Is there enough background information on the topic? Is the purpose statement well defined? Does the topic identify a gap in knowledge? Have the methodologies and limitations been clearly defined? Body: Depth of analysis of the topic 30% The argument should be academically rigorous, persuasive and thorough. Is the argument balanced, logical and well-reasoned? Is the writer’s own voice evident? Reliability, validity and relevance of the findings to date 30% Is the argument well backed up by research? Research should be of good quality, extensive and thorough. Is the primary research clear and relevant? Conclusion and Recommendations: 10% Is the argument followed up with appropriate implications? Are relevant recommendations given? Writing style: 5% Is the style formal and academic? Is it original? Is it fluid and easy to read? Correct spelling and grammar?
Structure of the paper: 5% Is the correct layout (cover page, abstract, introduction, body, conclusion & recommendations, references, appendices) and suitable format been used? Has a copy of the primary questions been included?

All essay structure rules apply, apart from the use of your headings. You should have a rigorous argument that is analytical, balanced, reasoned and logical. The writing style for the project is formal, academic writing. Use the third person, full sentences and fully developed paragraphs.
