Subject: Improvements
Sharon Wong - the cooperative’s workers’ representative - has provided us feedback on our performance review techniques. Miss Wong, strongly believes that our performance review techniques are a matter that is affecting our institution; that needs to be fixed immediately. I am under the impression that, after our last meeting; Miss. Wong as contacted you, to provide different solutions to the problem.
I have received voluminous complaints from employees regarding our current method of assessing employees. Numerous employees are under the impression that, the current review is poorly conducted and as become a hindrance for prospective promotions. The current review process as the potential to create a poor working environment; that needs to be addressed immediately.
While conducting performance review is of utmost importance, it is counterproductive if the manager fails to revise the results with employees. Revising the performance review with employees need to paramount, despite to potential tensions it can create. This revision process will allow both manager and employees to have an understanding of what is expected of either party and to come to a mutual understanding
In addition to that, the promotion selection committee, as fail to focus on the require skill to competed for the job. A perfect example is Miss. Jane Wosno promotion request that was denied, based on her weakness -interpersonal skill- and not her ability to do the job.
The Cooperative will greatly benefit from having these issues addressed. With that been said, I have arranged for us to have a meeting with the Cooperative Council to deliberate these issues. The meeting will be in two weeks after our management meeting. if there is anyone that you believe that need to be in attendance- they are welcome.
