Task: Undertake a literature search on a topic of your choice and select at least 2
– 4 academic journal articles and write a literature review.

The task
The assessment requires you to select at least 2-4 academic journal articles from the topic area of
your choice / that are relevant to your research problem.
A literature review requires you to engage with the articles that you have selected mainly by
discussing, evaluating or critiquing the way in which the author has conducted and presented the
research. You will need to:
1. Describe the main concepts (theories or models) put forward and / or applied in this article;
2. Critically discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the concepts (theories or models), their
contribution to knowledge;
3. Debate and analyse the findings presented in that article.
It is expected that you will critique these articles based on the concepts and understandings that you
have gained about conducting research from this unit and the knowledge that you have in the area
you have selected.
ATTENTION: Your report will be checked for plagiarism (i.e. copy & paste / using any
material from any kind of source without referencing it properly). Plagiarism will lead
to a Fail and might trigger further consequences.
