? Abstract, key words, introduction and/or background, related work, proposed work, experiment
(if available), analysis, conclusion, future work, and bibliography
Minimum of 8 citations (10 to 12 is proper).
? Plagiarism result in F for the paper and the class!
Logic and progression must flow smoothly
? Concise and briefed, no jargon
? Present a case statement
? If someone reads the paper, what will she/he learn from it?
? Scientifically sound
? Can’t miss out related work
? Of course can’t account for all, but don’t leave out crucial related work
? Reasoning for conclusion must be logical
? Demonstrate tangible conclusions
? No old, or obsolete conclusions
? Don’t just define and fill up the paper, it will be graded on content and context, not word count!
? Must present your understanding of the related work in your own language
? Can reuse graphs with proper citation
Tips for the paper:
? Experiment (if available) tells how you dealt with the survey and anyone who
reads your paper should be able to repeat your experiment
? Analysis juxtaposes outcomes, narrates the result, and then accounts for them
? Conclusion based on the analysis and prior work
? Future work narrates what/how can be this work extended in the future
