FINAL ASSIGNMENT FORMAT:
This coursework consists of a single essay writing task.
The purpose of this task is to test you on the following:
• Are you able to use the standard essay format that is presented in Class 5 of the module?
• Are you able to use Harvard referencing in an essay?
• Are you able to research information on a provided topic and analyse it?
Your work will be graded on the basis that you can demonstrate these core skills.
Task Instructions:
Write an essay of 1500 words that addresses the following question:
Could western nations have avoided the 2008 financial crisis?
Examine potential causes and assess whether they were inevitable
• You must conduct research using the sources provided on the reading list. You should read all of the texts on the reading list.
• You must use Harvard references both within the text of your essay, and providing a Reference List at the end of the essay. Failure to provide adequate references will result in failing the assignment.
• You should follow the standard essay structure that was taught during Class 5. You must include a Thesis Statement.
• Aim to present the information that you find in the course of your research, but also to provide your own commentary upon what you have read.
