You need to give the reader a brief overview of how the report is structured and the aim of each section. Project Lifecycle (500 words “A report on the overall approach to the project, potential alternatives that could have been applied and an evaluation of the successes and challenges that emerged in following the lifecycle adopted” • We had challenges linking the Oracle database to the PHP site as the admin privileges on the data base went working after online research me managed to make it work by giving each shop their own id results in the admin being able to change and amend all the shops using their unique shop id. • Weakness were everyone in group didn’t have a strong knowledge of oracle apex so we had to read up online material and work on strengthening our s******s in that department. Phpmyadmin alternative for database as we already had previous knowledge but it lacks the capability to use reports. You should have followed an Agile approach (adapted for this module): Envision, Speculate, Explore, Adapt. You used different tools to support each stage, were they effective? Were there weaknesses issues? Are there any better alternatives? For those seeking the highest marks you will do some background reading on project management/tools/lifecycles and evidence this through the inclusion of references. Communication (500 words) “A report on the tools and techniques used during the project, alternatives that were considered and an evaluation of the successes and challenges that emerged in using those adopted” • We used google drive for sharing documents • WhatsApp to arrange meetings • Trello & smartsheet to see what tasks needed to be completed and at what time. • Look for alternatives also. What approach did your team take to communicating and sharing? Were they effective? Were there weaknesses or issues? Are there any better alternatives? Team Working(500 words) “A review of the positive and negative aspects of working as a team” • Benefited when the group didn’t have much knowledge on oracle and we pulled together and research and learned together to understand and implement. • Benefit that you can manage a large project like this with different member and there strength in different areas made it easy to complete the tasks. • Sometimes team work hinder progress when team members weren’t coming in or deadlines for task where not met. • Change setting task rather than allocating them equally sometimes better to give less to some members which have a larger time to complete . • Drop Drawing on your experience can you identify any aspects of the work developed that benefitted from team working? Did team working seem to hinder progress at all? If you were to work in a team again would you continue/change/drop any practices approaches. Your experience may have been great, it may have been difficult this is your chance to reflect on why this was. Conclusion( 200 words) “An overall assessment of the project and proposals on how you would approach a future project, including the tools and techniques you would apply” The overall aim of this report is to capture what you have learnt, particularly that which will be of use to you in future team working activities.
