Business Case study – Scenario - Creating an entrepreneurial business. Can be undertaken as individual study or in groups. Background. Your department has been successful in winning funds to create a new entrepreneurial business venture. Funds awarded $10 Million Australian dollars. As manager of this business you and your team have been tasked to provide a business plan outlining this new venture. (Any business ideas can be used). (You need to create your team and identify roles). Your team must provide a business plan that introduces your business idea. Within the business plan you must address the following: Vision; Target market; Industry and any competitors; Critical risks that may threaten business success; Workforce required to be successful – Provide an organisational chart of the business and roles of responsibility; Required resources including funds and operating costs; Financial projections; Summary. Your business plan must consider if the firm is to be local, domestic or International and what differences there may be in relation to legal requirements/regulations, cultural differences and ethnocentric issues. Include in your business plan the resources you would require to get this business off the ground. Students will need to research business plans and explore organisations start-ups to successfully complete this assessment. Students are encouraged to speak with start-up organisations to understand the complexities of creating a new business venture. The report must be in business format. Word count for this assessment – 5000 words, 30 minute oral presentation plus presentation slides.
