The following format is to be used for Assessment 3.
Business Report Format
Title page
(not included in the word count) • Title of report - should clearly indicate what the report is about
• Student name and ID number
• Subject code and subject name
• Word Count
Executive summary Not required.
Table of contents
(not included in the word count) List the major and minor sections of your report, with page numbers.
Introduction Set the scene; give some background information about the issue that you’re looking at; state the aim/purpose of the report. Provide an outline of the main sections in the body of the report (approx. 250 words).
Body Organise the body of the report into sections with clear headings. Numbering is optional.
Your report must address the question using language and a writing style that is appropriate for a business report. This discussion must include correctly cited evidence drawn from appropriate quality sources – see the CRAP test (approx. 1,750 words).
Recommendations If required. See question (approx 250 words).
Conclusion Summarise the key points of what has been achieved in the report. (approx. 250 words).
Reference list
(not included in the word count) A list of all of the in-text sources that you cited in the report using the APA 6 referencing style. See the CSU Student Homepage for information. Minimum 10 sources of which 5 are academic journals
Appendices Footnotes Do not include. You may include any diagrams and tables used in the body of report and must be clearly cited.
