Grammar/Spelling/Typos – (20%) – Full credit requires that the document is completely free of grammatical and spelling errors. The writing is coherent, easy to follow, and free of logical inconsistencies or fallacious reasoning. Deductions are made to match the proportion to which the writing contains these faults.
Citations and References – (10%) – Full credit requires the correct and consistent use of citations and references.
Article Choice – (10%) – Full credit requires the selection of five (5) recent (last 3 yrs), high quality scholarly peer reviewed journal articles that are relevant to the topic and represent a coherent body of literature.
Literature Review – (60%) Full credit requires a strong analysis that adds to the depth of understanding of the chosen topic beyond the core course materials. A strong literature review synthesizes the articles cited and discusses the themes found in the literature. This requires a discussion that goes beyond a simple description of the contents of each article or a series of reports on each individual article. A high quality review discusses the relationship among the articles.
