MBA 541 Coordinated CSR Topic Report 30% of course grade Due – one week after the Topic Presentation Email report to instructor (as an attached Word doc) Description: This assignment is designed to provide students with the opportunity to research and report on a current CSR topic in the news and connected it to current research literature related to a Corporate Social Responsibility topic. In self-selected student groups (3-4 per group) must choose one of the lecture topics as the subject for a report and presentation. Students must research the topic using current sources beyond the material provided for the class. The paper should cite and discuss at least 3 research articles per student. All articles must be approved by the course instructor. Students must find a relevant current news story related to CSR. For example, in March 2017, there were stories about TD Bank pressuring its employees to upsell, trick, and even lie to customers to meet unrealistic sales targets in order to keep their jobs. The news story used for the report must be approved by the course instructor. The report is to be a 1000-1250 word report per student (text count of body of paper, excluding title page and references) that summarizes scholarly research on the topic from the last five years.
