My main motive behind this undertaking was to analyse the key elements of marketing mix in the selected foundation and that is a restaurant. On Wednesday 5th of April I visited an Indian restaurant ‘Laal Mirch’. It was situated near the Gabba Stadium. Theplace is very appropriate for the restaurant as it is near the city and next to the international stadium. It can easily attract the customers. Place element is a process by which the goods and services transferred from place of production to place of consumption. The restaurant followed direct channel of distribution with less or no intermediaries to reduce the space between place of consumption and place of production promotion take a major role. It is the element which is concerned with activities which are undertaken to communicate with the costumers and distribution channel to enhance the sale. On the entrance of the restaurant a big model of Red chilli was framed, which was its logo. I entered the building through a big glass door. There were 2 floors in the building. On the ground floor there were a convenient store selling Indian grocery. At the left corner from the entrance there were stairs which took me to the restaurant. On the reception area, everything was representing the taste of India, for instance, there was a small ancient cart wheel place along with it’ s historyin small letters, posters of famous destinations of India and it was equipped with furnished interiors and decorated walls, proper lighting nor less neither more, efficient space to move that no one would feel that the place is overcrowded. Everything which is essential while consuming their food was made available on the dining tables. It was giving the physicalevidence. I went through the menucard, all dishes were reminding me of my home as I was sitting in an Indian restaurant so was enjoying the feeling of my home-country. However, when I was undergoing the menu my focus was on the dishes along with their prices and preparing. The rates of dishes were quite reasonable, one do not have to make much efforts to purchase them, it was in reach of every income group. This restaurant was providing many varieties of food items at such affordable prices as compared to other neighbouring Indian restaurants. Earlier I went to 2-3 Indian restaurants but their prices were too high that one needs to think twice before ordering. In terms of rates, I found that place as my first preference. Moreover, I made up my mind for chicken curry and cheese spinach naanand finally ordered it. Meanwhile, my dish was being prepared, I went to the reception area and saw that all those dishes which are served in that place has been written on a chart with big bulletins and their ingredients along with it’s recipe. In other words, the entire process of cooking has been mentioned on it. The entire staff was very dedicating towards their customer and their work too. They remain busy all the time with their assigned tasks. They were receiving calls for the take-aways and home delivery. The people over there were great to experience with. They were serving their customers in a very polite manner and smile on their faces too. The over their showed a symbol of respect to their clients. They all were dressed in same outfits that is white tees and the black bottoms with their organisation’s logo on it. Their over welcoming nature was convincing the customer to visit that place another more time. By that time my order was ready and it was served to me in a gentle manner. The texture of chicken curry was amazing while the staff member was serving I was constantly looking at my dish and was thinking how great would I feel on consuming it. However, I consumed my food, it was delicious. The quality of food was really mouth melting. While consuming my servings I made up my mind to visit this place again. The quality of product served was excellent. I asked one of the staff member to pack the leftover food for me so that I can take that with me. It just took less than two minutes to get my food packed om my table. My food was packed I got my bill, and when I was paying at the counter, they viewed me a card, that was a membership card and one the staff member was offering me to enjoy the services of that card. Obviously, it was their way of promotion. I agreed with all the terms and conditions and was provided the membership card. Earlier, I saw their restaurant name on weekly magazines, and their volunteers distributing the leaflets on the streets with great and attractive offers on weekends. This place also provides an offer where one can get the extra meal within the amount which is paid for the main meal. Along with this, various combos are offered in the morning and the evening time to attract the masses. Taking everything into account, my entire process of entering the restaurant, ordering the meal, consuming it, and the building the relation with the staff members have fully satisfied me. Thus I can say that the selected restaurant fulfilled my expectation and also bears all the essentials of marketingmix . .
