It’s surprisingly easy to fail this subject…but only IF YOU KNOW HOW. So just
follow these four easy steps, and you are almost certain (we can’t
GUARANTEE IT!) to fail.
1] The lecturers and tutors will give you tips focused on selecting and carrying out an appropriate
topic. If you don’t speak to your lecturer or tutor, then you are well on track to failing this subject!
If you are still worried that you might not fail this subject, then make sure you don’t read your uni
emails, don’t read the advice on the Moodle site, don’t read the Assessment descriptions carefully.
That will definitely help you fail.
2] This unit requires you to actually collect data, analyse it and discuss it. An easy way to fail this
subject is just to do an extensive literature review. Don’t collect data…don’t analyse it in any
way…and don’t discuss your results!
3] The assessment is also focused on secondary data. Don’t read up on what ‘secondary data’
means. That’s sure to help you fail! Better still, go and collect primary data!
4] When you’ve finished your assignment, make sure you don’t read up on advice on the Moodle
site on formatting the report, or referencing. A poorly put together report with bad or no
referencing is always a great way to earn a fail!
Note: if you want to pass the subject, or even get a credit, distinction or high
distinction...please ignore the above ‘advice’ (Olav, your unit co-ordinator).
