She has given a really interesting lessons. She divided it to 5 main areas: Lesson 1: Learn Frameworks – She advice to get a relevant internship that we can learn how thing happen in the industry. Alternatively she mentioned to participate in the Hackathons, do some Personal Projects and build new stuff an experiment. Lesson 2: Certifications, you’d be silly not to! – She mentioned that even we already know it and do it, it’s better to certify itbecause it will always give us added advantage. Because it will give employer every excuse to hire you and justify your pay. And it is an easy way to prove real world skills. Lesson 3: You are a brand – She mentioned don’t make separate private and public social media profiles make one that others to easy to find us as possible. Do Speaking and blogging and be genuinely interesting about what you do. Lesson 4 – Network like a pro – She advise us to make genuine connections as much as possible, also to have business cards, get them, sync them to the cloud. She mentioned to meet and get to know people outside of your friendship group, language group and class group. Lesson 5: Know Your Own Limitations – She said this is the most difficult part and she said to understand what our motivations are for the job or project and create high performing teams. And she mentioned that participate in Hackathons and Tech Events make big difference in her career path and recommended us to participate in them as much as possible.
