The topic of employee engagement has remained point of debate and numerous researches in recent time wherein this phenomenon leads to the various issues for the organization such as employee turnover rate, absenteeism and non-dedicated workforce etc.

The selected topic can heavily impact the organization by offering highly dedicated manpower for the organization. Engaged employees are really an asset to the organization and can help the organization to ensure success in long term efforts of the company.
Relevant theories and models
One of the important models of employee engagement is Job Demands-Resource model or popularly known as the JD-R model of employee engagement. This model was devised by Bakker and Demerouti (2007) and talks about the employee burnout, engagement and organizational performance.
Another model of employee engagement is Dubin’s method of employee engagement which talks about the employee engagement through step of processes such as designing job characteristics, employer-employee relationship and others. This model helps in predicting the impact of each factor on organizational performance.
