This submission should include the following:
Part 1: Organisation Agreement for the Team
Articulation of Outcomes from intra-Team organisation structure Meeting.
Provide these notes in a professional manner as a record of proceedings and agreed actions.
Consider your team’s choice of organisational structure, reasons for choice, other important aspects as part of agreement (e.g. insurances, etc.)

Part 2: Procurement Strategies
Articulation of intra team discussion around potential permit requirements & procurement strategies.
Provide these notes in a professional manner as a record of proceedings and agreed actions.
What other approvals, licenses & permits...over and above Development Approval, will be required before commencement of works on site. What is required, in terms of drawings and supporting documentation, to be supplied for each of these approvals/licenses/permits. What is the role of the Building Surveyor? How will you, on behalf of your client set about engaging a builder for this project. In considering potential builders for the project, what abilities/qualities/capacities need to be taken into account. What procurement methods would you suggest for a project such as this? Consider the projects size, both physically & financially, & its purpose. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this procurement method over other methods. What contract type would be most appropriate in terms of the procurement process selected. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this contract over other contract types.
Provide a draft programme for the procurement process from tendering through to construction, completion & handover.”

Part 3: Letter/Report from Team to the relevant Planning Authority requesting Development Approval for the Proposed Project.
This letter/report forms the Written part of a hypothetical submission for Development (Planning) Approval for this Project.
Professional Communication via a letter/report that should include the following:
An Analysis of the Existing Site (including Previous Stages) and Surroundings.
A Design Response - an account of how the Design as documented responds to each of the relevant Clauses/Standards outlined in Planning guidelines.
Explanation/Justification of elements of the project that may be ambiguous or contravene guidelines outlined in Planning of other relevant documents.
Consideration of issues related to Heritage and Environmental criteria.
Responses to any other criteria (e.g. State-based Strategic Plans) that you consider relevant.
Include visual/diagrammatic/graphic analysis/calculations where they can assist/clarfiy your submission.
Also include a list of attachments to your letter (this is just a hypothetical list - it is assumed that drawings
provided for this project, fees to authorities etc. would in reality accompany the Written Submission but you do not have to actually attach them).
There is no set length for this letter/report, but to cover all relevant aspects 8-10 A4 pages/± 4000 words should be sufficient.
Part 4: Letter from Team to Client about Construction Procurement
This letter is to your client to explain your recommendations for a suitable contractual process for the construction of the project ( in anticipation of the project proceeding to construction after Planning Approval is granted).
Explain which form of construction procurement you would recommend for a project of this scale and type of project, and its advantages over alternative forms of construction procurement.
Explain which pro forma/template contract or contracts would be suitable for the construction of this project and why? (Its advantages over alternative contract forms)
Explain your future role administering architects, construction managers, as well as that of the client and the contractor(s) in the procurement/contractual process?
Explain how risks in relation to the project, will be managed in your chosen procurement/contractual process?
