Introduction: Leadership refers to the capability of a person that will make others attracted towards him. In other words, it is the inner ability of a person which influences other to follow him (Coghlan, 2000). In an organisation, leader plays a vital role in influencing the behaviour of individuals in channelizing their potential in an efficient manner towards the achievement of organisational goal (Probert, & Turnbull James, 2011). Only an effective leadership process makes the employees motivated and satisfied for their work (Hogan, Curphy, & Hogan, 2016). Different organisations use different leadership skills and traits to make their employees working efficient. Leadership style is the significant factor in any organisation that enhances the capability and potential of the employees (Pirraglia, 2017). Leadership style exerts adverse impact on small and medium scale units in Nigeria (Dunkerley, 1972). Small and medium scale industry in Nigerian Economy suffered due to inapposite leadership style used in the organisations. The organisations use transformational and transactional theories to lead their employees and bring in efficiency. But these skills bring reverse effect on the employees, due to which the small and medium scale units fail in Nigeria (Ejimabo, 2013). Transactional theory wants its follower to comply with the leader. This theory closely looks for errors and then takes suitable steps to rectify that (Sohail, 2011). And according to transformational theory, the followers are needed to do more than expectation. The leader is optimistic and creates zeal among his employees to work efficiently in the organisation. (Bello, 2012) 2. Problem Statement: The study is conducted to evaluate impact of leadership style on the outcome of performance of the units in Nigerian economy and to deeply evaluate the impact of such failures by the firms due to inappropriate leadership styles. 3. Research Aim and Objective: This report aims to find out the facts that show the impact of leadership on the organisational performance. Following are the objectives: • To study the leadership impact on business working. • To study the facts of failure of leadership styles in Nigeria. 4. Research Methodology: It is the theoretical analysis of the study conducted. This involves: 4.1 Literature Review The literature is an important criterion to analyze the statement & research papers published by various scholars. This review can be done through certain academic literature websites such as Science Direct, Shodhganga, and Inflibnet etc Literature Leadership skills and the performance of the employees are related to each other. Transformational leadership skills have straightway impact on the followers through frustration & optimism. Frustration of the leader negatively influences the employees. On the other hand, optimism influences the employees positively in a right way. Such skills must have impact on employees but not directly (Kennedy, & Anderson, 2002). 4.2 Data Collection Methods The research is completely based on the qualitative data. In the research, primary and secondary data is used to study the problem and find the solutions to it. The data for impact of leadership on organisation has been collected from the journal sources available on internet. Various journals are referred to study the problem. The exploratory research design is used to conduct this research 4.3 Data Analysis and Interpretation Analysis and Interpretation is a best way to drive conclusions and findings. Data will be collected through questioner and interview and then analyzed through proper utilization of MS Excel software which enables the users to critically think and analyze their data with the aid of certain tools such as graphs, chart, and tables. 4.4 Key Indicators of Leadership Impact Leadership impact can be realized and noticed from the behaviour, attitude, and morale of the employer towards their employee. Leadership impact certainly helps in building motivation and certain goals which are required to be achieved in given set of time. 5. References: 1. Bello, S. (2012).
