1.1 Project Vision
The “Student Retention System of the Melbourne Institute of Technology” project is primarily aimed at reviewing the student retention policies of the organization so as to reduce the rate of student dropout.
1.2 Goal of the project
To analyse student data available to the Melbourne Institute of Technology.
To review the student retention policies of the university based on the information available from the analysis of student data.
To induce a significant reduction in the rate of student dropout.
2. Project Scope
The scope of the project includes the following:
The integration of the ICT systems that MIT presently utilizes for providing educational resources to the students, namely AMS, MIT Moodle and BigFoot.
To collect student information from these sites and analyse them to understand the common causes of student dropout.
