This assessment is designed to assess the following learning outcomes:
• Critically analyse and evaluate the formulation and implementation of processes of learning and talent development strategies for defining and achieving current and future effectiveness an national, organisational, group and individual levels
• Critically evaluate the potential and appropriateness of a range of learning and talent development strategies, policies and methods with reference to relevant contextual factors.
• Lead the initiation, development and implementation of learning and talent development strategies, interventions and activities
• Work effectively and collaboratively with key internal and external partners and stakeholders to diagnose and manage learning and talent development response to problems.
Task
Write an individually completed but organisation based assignment, which leads to a report of 3,000 words. It will:
• Provide a justified learning and talent development strategy that addresses a candidate identified, and diagnosed organisation, issue or problem and
• Also includes a detailed implementation plan.
Marking Criteria
The report will be within a specified plus or minus of the target word length; + or – 10% is recommended. It will include the following content:
• A description of the organisation context with specific information on detail such as size, structure, products, markets and operating environment.
• A rationale for the selection and diagnosis of the issue or problem which is justified by reference to internal organisation factors and which is supported by reference to external sources and data.
• A clear account of the proposed L&TD strategy which is justified and supported by a clear argument and business case related to organisation factors and fit with the diagnosis.
• The justification for the L&TD strategy will make reference to relevant research literature which is critically evaluated for application and relevance to the problem/issue and proposed L&TD strategy.
• An implementation plan with detail of resource requirements, timescales and accountabilities.
