Your presentation should focus on addressing the following criteria; 1. What is the security strategy you arerecommending to mitigate the issue, and why is it ideal? 2. Explain how the mitigation strategy will be effective in controlling the issue. All proposed strategies must correctly operate within the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. Careful consideration must be given to the availability of fixes and upgrades to the address the security issues identified. It is expected that students use reputable sources and vendors should third party software be required to address any security issues. Additional Task Information • Your presentation will not be formally presented; you are only developing the slides. • Focus on allocating1-3 slides per strategy. • You are must use the same operating system as per the supplied VM. Hence, any software, configuration options and strategies should be capable of working on the supplied operating system. Feel free to test any strategies on the supplied VM image. • You may include images or screenshots to emphasise specific points in your presentation.Any images/screenshots which are not created by you, must be referenced. • Avoid filling each slide with sentences/paragraphs of text. Be creative in how you present your countermeasures, tables, charts, graphics, screenshots are more effective. • Your target audience are novice end-users and thus they want to be informed and convinced as to why your solutions are appropriate for them. • When recommending a solution, name the specific product/version and appropriate configuration options with supportive justification. Naming a product is not sufficient. You should make a careful and adequate comparison with alternative products, strategies or fixes and convince the reader that your ideas are most appropriate given the scenario. • Your security solutions should be based upon contemporary literature. You should include in-text references throughout the entire assignment. • Feel free to implement the proposed solution into the VM to ensure it functions appropriately. Assignment Submission The submission must be a single Microsoft PowerPointfile submitted via BlackBoard. You do not need an ECU assignment cover sheet. Introduction slide A brief overview of your presentation and what you will be presenting. You may decrease the font size of the reference list and include all end-text references on 1 slide.
