Assessment: CASE STUDY: "SUPPLYING FAST FASHION"

Format Report - 3000 word response (+/- 10%)
Write a CASE STUDY: "SUPPLYING FAST FASHION",prepare an assessment that analyses, compares and contrasts the strategies and practices adopted by the three companies (Zara, H&M and Benetton) to manage their operations and supply chain.
Description of the Assessment
Select four relevant concepts from the list below and structure the body of your assessment around them:
• Agile supply chain
• Operations / manufacturing strategy
• Trade-offs in operations performance
• Capacity planning
• Lean supply chain
• Five operations performance objectives
• 4 Vs of operations
• Inventory management
Eachconcept and write the associated section (around 600 words).
Each section, which addresses a concept, must consist of two sub-sections as follows:
1. In the first sub-section (around 400 words) use the concept and analyse the three companies and related practices and strategies.
2. In the second sub-section (around 200 words), a discussion of the interrelationships between the concept and other three concepts should be provided.
Format
In line with the AIB Style Guide, the assessment needs to be written in the report format.Therefore, make sure to briefly introduce the companies and the select concepts in the introduction section (around 400 words).The introduction section should also include a brief discussion on why the select concepts are used.
Finally, write a brief conclusion, which summarises key insights (around 200 words). For this assessment, recommendations are not required.
Remember to use at least six credible references such as textbooks, journal articles, industry reports, and company website
Assessment instructions
• Author-date style referencing (which includes in-text citations plus a reference list).
• Reference lists for assessments/projects normally contain the following number of relevant references from different sources: 6–12 (for MBA assessments).
• All references must be from credible sources such as books, industry related journals, magazines, company documents and recent academic articles.
• Grade will be adversely affected if assessment contains no/poor citations and/or reference list and if your assessment word length is beyond the allowed tolerance level.
