Marking Rubric Guide This rubric is provided as a guide for marking, and you should use it as a reference point for postgraduate work. It contains the main criteria typically used for marking at the postgraduate level. The amount and quality to which a criterion is present will affect your marks (for example, how many good sources did you use? And what was the quality of the report components that addresses the assignment requirements), and other considerations will be taken into account – this rubric is provided only as a guide. It is not appropriate to use this rubric as a strict classification – e.g. “My report does everything you say in the ‘B’ column therefore I should be a ‘B’” – instead it is a guideline to understanding why you received the grade you did. Please note: You do not have to meet ALL of these criteria to fall into a grade. Marks for each section will be added up to get your total grade for this assessment.
