Task Two (a)
Context:
Using your own workplace or a chosen organisation within the sector of the health and social care sector you are required to write a report, of a minimum of 2000 words, based on the following points:
• How communication, used in your chosen setting, is influenced by factors such as beliefs, age, sex, sexuality, ethnicity, gender, education and social class;
• How charters, codes of practice, policies related to equality, diversity, discrimination, confidentiality and sharing information and National legislation all impact on the communication that takes place in the setting;
Task Two (b)
Context:
In your role as an employee/ trainee/ observer at your chosen setting, you will need to write an assessment of 1,500 words, outlining how well a range of systems and policies promote good practice in communication.
For this piece of work you should consider how systems and policies that address documents, sharing of information, structures, communication procedures and communication practices help to ensure that positive communication is utilised in the setting.
You should then make suggestions as to how these systems and practices can be improved to encourage positive communication and the communication process overall.
Submission Format
This assignment is in the form of a report and assessment. Task 2 (a) has a required word count of 2,000 words. Font size 12. Task 2 (b) has a required word count of 1,500 words.
Where appropriate you should support your submission with existing research and sources and reference this accordingly using the Harvard referencing system.
