INTRODUCTION
In the world of technology, people expect new products from market that makes their life easier and reliable. But the thing is most products can’t able to manage their name through certain period and they disappear from the market. Most of new items fail to convey any important income in return. The new model holds the capacity to a model halt and is in this manner in a very much characterized sense a change over the first (Brookes, & Roscoe, 1985). When it comes to automobile cars, disappointment can be measured in a different ways: Sales, observation, customer dissatisfaction and attractive quality are however also loss of life. However when a car model fails, it's once in a while in a tremendous burst of glory, as a result it disappears from the market.
In such cases, various reasons may be there for failure. I have chosen automotive car ‘ford thunderbird 2002’ as a business research and I am going to analyse the main reason behind its failure and how company have lost their market in the year 2002.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES:
The main aim of this project is to analyse the main cause of the failure and how it has effect the company.
The objectives include the factors that involve the reasons behind it. Ford has invented the car thunderbird in the early 2000s which was introducing time of style and luxurious cars in the market. Ford tried to invent the card that suits other cars such as mini cooper and VW beetle, but the car has faced the engine problems leading the car disliked by many people. The main objectives also include:
What is the main reason of thunderbird disaster?
How it affected the company in terms of financial and economical?
What are the steps taken by ford to ensure not to repeat in the future?
These objectives are mainly covered in the methodology down below
BRIEF METHODOLOGY:
The methodology briefly describes at what factors failures occurs in order to analyse the main aim of the project.
Failure: The most awaited car of the year thunderbird 2002 has failed to deliver customer expectations. The main reason is its Engine, as the most sport cars have super power engine. Ford tried to come up with that kind of engine. Most of the customers complain about the engine. More than 50% of the customers said that the engine of thunderbird runs roughly. Engine parts such as spark plugs, coils runs of the place unexpectedly ("2002 Ford Thunderbird Engine Problems"). As Thunderbird is said to be super car, consumers said while in motion engine shakes at certain speed that shouldn’t been seen in super cars.
Company Affected by Thunderbird :
The majority of our staff felt that this is one of the new Thunderbird's most strongest suits. "An extraordinary esteem statement," noted Chuck Schifsky. "Under $40 thousand as tested, with a V-8 motor and great style. It's a champ." Indeed. You can take a gander at these two ways. Contrast the T-Bird's mid-with high-$30,000 labels to the costs of other drop-tops, for example, Corvette (low-to-high $40s), Audi TT (low-to-high-$30s), and Mercedes SLK ($40,000 to mid-$50s). Indeed, even a Prowler is a mid-$40,000 venture. On that premise, the Thunderbird appears in any event aggressive with the choices (Kiewicz, Trend, & Woron, 2017).
Steps taken by ford:
Company has taken few steps since the engine started to give problems to the consumers. Company recalls all the consumers cars whoever is facing the problems and have checked the engine for free and serviced if necessary. Company recalls checking suspension, electrical systems, brakes and fuel systems.
These are methodologies are undertaken to analyse the research in car product thunderbird in the year 2002.
