Step Two… • Defining your desired “life destination”–your destiny • Your destiny will be determined bydaily choicesand long-term goals (5-10 years)you set. • Once you have identified theone accomplishmentyou most want to make, you need to startmapping a life plan that will get you there. Final Step… • Is to make theright decisionsalong the journey. • When we havevaluesthat govern our decision making; we becomemore judicial, better at making theright decisionsfor ourselves. • Why? Because we are able toalign our values and actionsin times of crisis and change; giving us an edge over most other people. Hard Skills Soft Skills Learned skills and skillstrained forrelated to your career or profession Soft skills are essentially interpersonal or people skills Hard skills are consideredtangible skills because they are easily identified and measured with things like tests and exams Soft skills can beeasily observedin peoplebut theyarenot as easily measured. Soft skills are consideredintangible For example: technical, mechanical, administrative or accounting skills Skills that require knowledge of computers, writing, speaking a second language, operating a machine, driving a car, etc. Soft skills = three categories: 1. Skills that allow you to interact well with coworkers and clients-such as networking, communication 2. Skills that demonstrate work ethic and professionalism-like appropriate dress, enthusiasm and motivation 3.
