Based on the advice given, the board of Deorham have decided that they would like to outsource their security activities. They have hired your consultancy to provide advice about aspects of security outsourcing and seek your opinions on some key issues.
They are looking at outsourcing at a number of levels with Thor Cloud Services, in particular:
- Storage of all Deorham operation data in a real time environment within the Thor Cloud Service (outsourcing from an operational viewpoint); - Development of a disaster cloud data system that will contain all of Deorham cloud data (operational and historical) so in the unlikely event of a disaster
all of Deorham data can be obtained (outsourcing from an strategic viewpoint).
They want you to develop a high level service level agreement between Deorham Corporation and Thor Cloud Services. Aspects of the service level agreement could include: a) Definition and expectations of quality and service, e.g. how long to response to queries; b) Auditor requirements e.g. how to get access to data and prove who has viewed data; c) How to ensure key functionality works, e.g. testing the data disaster system. d) Compliance with legislation requirements, e.g. Australian privacy act.

Referencing/Plagiarism and Collusion
Any work that you submit for assessment must be your own work. Please note that this unit has systems in place to detect plagiarism and all submissions are submitted to this system.
Submitting written work, in whole or in part, that is copied or paraphrased from other authors (including students), without correct acknowledgement, is considered one of the most serious academic offences. This practice is equivalent to cheating in examinations and it may lead to expulsion from the University. For further information, you should refer to Regulation 4.1(1), Part 2—Academic Misconduct, via The Guide http://theguide.deakin.edu.au (retrieved 3 March 2014).
Please note that these regulations are not intended to discourage group work and exchange of views and information with other students and staff. Such interaction is most desirable, provided that you ultimately write your own answers and acknowledge any quoted sources.
We see responsible attitudes to plagiarism as part of general good ethical practice.
