Research Tool Introduction Measuring a given phenomenon through a testing device is known as a research tool. This paper will provide a research tool to collect quantitative information to find out whether a consumer really go by their words about their ‘ethical grounds’ when it comes to actual purchase of a product and taking it to the check-out counter. The research tool that was used to collect information here is surveys. A group of people participated in developing this survey, to determine the goals of survey and developing survey questions through individual and group brainstorming leading to discussions. There was prime focus on wording the questions so that it is clear and understandable to the respondent and they can provide required data. Following to that, a preamble was outlined which stated the instructions for survey, contact details, topic of research and reinsuring the confidentiality of the provided data. Survey was pilot tested by the group members, leading to revision and finalisation of the survey. Consent for Survey This is an invitation to participate in an ethical consumer survey study. This study is being done by the class of BBS301. There are no known risks associated with this research study, however as with any study the risk of breach of confidentiality is possible although highly unlikely and participants will remain anonymous throughout this study, as the study will not be publically distributed and used solely for the class research project. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary and can withdraw or skip any question at any time.
