Two minds technology manages and runs the biggest platform for engineers. It has no1. Website in India for engineers and Apps have over 4 million downloads across the world. The site attracts 7 million unique users, out of which 3.2 million registered users generating over 90 million page views in 30 million sessions every year.
Two minds wants to help business to engage with the engineering & developer ecosystem and effectively evaluate technical skills. Two minds is looking to provide a solution called Recruit.
Recruit: It is an online skill assessment software that allows you to objectively evaluate technical skills of engineers. Recruit easily fits into your technical hiring process, reduces your time to hire engineers, and allows you to scale up your technical hiring process.
Recruit is different from job portals like indeed.com or monster.com in many terms. It is a portal only for engineers that would assist employers in hiring process through artificial intelligence components. Few unique features of Recruit include:
Smart Selection Process: Employer should be allowed to set an online quiz/test for round 1. Only candidates with enough score should be allowed to get in round 2 and so on. This will allow recruiters to filter the candidates at low cost.
Candidate Feedback System: Employers should not be allowed to reject a job application without proper feedback. The feedback should be available to candidate on their profile.
These are just few features of the system which the company believes that it would make this product standout from others. The project team is to identify more such features through research and come up with a project implementation plan.
Project requirements
The project is about introducing a skill assessment platform called Recruit. It should be an online platform which will assess engineering grads with various online tools on the skills, capability and readiness for the various engineering jobs. It should be a platform where candidates can check their feedback, areas of improvements and assessments and companies can check all details on the candidates and may get involved themselves in hiring the right candidates.
The project team needs to do the following for the product recruit.
Study the current recruitment processes in the engineering domain.
Identify the top competitors in the online job portal arena and analyse the gaps in their recruitment process.
Identify the needs of HR or recruitment officers in filtering the applications and selection process. Identify the needs or expectations of candidates applying for a job through an online recruitment platform.
From the gap and needs analysis, think through an IT enabled business process that could streamline the recruitment process.
As mentioned above, identify unique features through research that could give this product a competitive edge. The identified features must be need and innovation driven supported by research outcomes.
Author a detailed software design document that forms the basis of the development of this product.
Recommend a roll-out plan for this product along with any infrastructure requirements and costs involved.
