The Initiation and Planning Phase Team Report Team – C The effective use of Project Methodologies 10/100 points PID – A Professional PID. Business Case – Good Business Case. Assumptions – Reasonable Assumptions. Risk Analysis – Risk Analysis should have been for carrying out this project ie delivering the Recommendations in June not the Recommendation Risks. Stakeholders – Should have been focused on this Project. WBS/Gantt Charts/PERT/Critical Path – Good WBS and Gantt Charts. Budget/hours/Timing/Milestones – Budget appears to be full time on the project rather than the time available for the team members. Not clear if there is any contingency in the plan. Project Control and Reporting – Acceptable Processes. Document Management – Excellent Document Management Plan. Communication Plan – Good communication plan. Skills Analysis – Good Skills Analysis. An analysis of Team’s weaknesses would be helpful for later assignments. 6/10 points The Technical IT Research Plan 10/100 points The research plan raises a number of questions as it allocates the same topic to a number of team members. All 4 team members will research WAN/LAN Networks and IT Technologies, 2 team members will research Cloud Strategy and Client Research. It is not clear if this will result in overlaps and inefficient research. 5/10 points Quality of Report/Presentation 10/100 points Report A Professional Report. Clearly written and understandable 3/5 points Presentation Good Business case opening. Good structure to the Presentation. A convincing Presentation with one or two exceptions. The number of hours allocated to the project appeared to be more than the time available to the team. The structure of the project team was not convincing with 2 project managers and this did not appear an efficient way of organising the team. Feedback was also given that the team shouldn’t rely on the Freedom of Information Requests data being available in time to assist the project. 3/5 points Total 17/30 points Individual Contribution Initiation and Planning Phase 5 points/100 points Adam W. He is a convincing Project Manager who is committed to bringing home the project. His team is not working well together and he needs to spend more time with each team member to guide and encourage them on their tasks. Nervous start to the presentation but he improved as the presentation progressed. During the Presentation he needs to be careful not to talk over and undermine his team members when they are presenting. 3/5 points Chris R. A very credible and convincing presentation which was delivered in a calm manner with good verbal skills. He clearly understands the assignment and understands project management techniques and disciplines. 3/5 points Omer M. Clearly trying hard to contribute to the project but often finds it difficult to convince others of his point of view. An acceptable presentation. 2.5/5 points Chris K. Not an active contributor to the project. Needs to work as team member to help the team achieved the assignment objectives. His presentation was acceptable but not overwhelming. 2/5 points
