The Timberland company and its consumer items like it’s Timberland original yellow boots are things which are affected by globalisation meaning companies like The Timberland company are not able to function without globalisation. What Globalization means is that the things that occur around the world globally leads to effect or impact an individual or an organization, from the spider diagram above we can see that a lot of Timberlands supply chain is pretty spread out around the world globally than just being in one fixed location, The Timberland Company has 31 tanneries in 12 countries and these factories are located in Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Dominican, India, Indonesia, Thailand, US, Vietnam. Without globalisation, The Timberland company would not have had such a diversity of expenditure and their shoe brand would not have become a well-known globally famous brand like it would be today and individuals like myself would not have the luxury of having a pair of Timberlands if it wasn’t for globalisation. Globalization is what makes consumer items like Timberland original yellow boots accessible for folks around the world and just like how Globalization make it accessible for us individuals, globalization is also what made it accessible for companies to create, without globalization companies like The Timberland company is not able to create such products with easier because it supplies chain is also very spread around the world globally like it’s animal hides from the farm are exported to its factories around the world to be tanned and sent to footwear manufacturers like china and after the product has been made its sent to a warehouses to be stored, then lastly when it’s is sent it stores it is sent by ship or air transport which is another form of globalization and this all benefits us individuals to enjoy the product and The Timberland company to make profit.
The Timberland company is a for-profit organization, as it is an organization which produce consumer goods to be retained on the market, because it’s is a for-profit organizations it has personality traits of aggressiveness it as it always aiming to complete with its competitors to retail they goods like advertisements and promotions and having an online website shopping store, however, The Timberland company is a very environment aware company, they have a positive image of taking responsibility for the environment as they said they strive to be Earthkeepers in everything they do, they also keep updated with their online website on their goals for keeping things environment health for what they do and it shows the goals and progression of how close they have achieved a specific goal in percentage, for example, they have goals like 10 million trees planted and the latest 2016 result shows there are total of 449,735 trees that have been planted. The Timberland company is a company which pays attention to details and this is important and they are affected by globalization keeping up for important details allows them to target what they want to and from Timberland’s 2016 CSR report for 2020 sustainability goals showing five-years of performance as Timberlands business grows it continues to stay core to its culture and what they believe which is to be Earthkeepers, showing reports that Timberland has set a new goal to have 100 percent of apparel cotton come from organic, US-origin or Better Cotton Initiative-certified sources by 2020 and in 2016 the company has to reach a percentage of 58 percent. As the years go on The Timberland company is finding new ways to innovate and maintain a sustainable and responsible image and to do that they have set many goals to be achieved which show that company is not just outcome orientated company they show responsibility on how they achieve the outcome.

The Timberland Company and its product the Timberland original yellow boot is a product that is able to withstand the test of time most likely if The Timberland Company stays to its culture and provide a positive environment and continues to seek and discover more innovative ways to maintain sustainability, however maybe in the future five to ten year from now boot style and fashion trends might affect the company and its products, however because The Timberland company keeps attention to details I’m sure there will figure out new styles and changes to innovate they product to maintain sustainability, unless serious environmental factors like nature disasters being able to shake and cause a threat to The Timberland Company and possibly other external events the Timberland Company is able to withstand another five to ten year as long they appropriate risk management are being taken and globalization still going strong in the next five to ten years because without globalization none of this is possible.
