Assignment title: Information
Introduction:
The topic that will be discussed here is Abortion. This is a medical process in which we end a
pregnancy so that it does not does not result in the birth of a baby. We may also refer to it as
termination of the pregnancy where in this is carried out only after knowing the time to which
the pregnancy has passed through to know if we could move ahead with the process of
termination since after few weeks it is medically not allowed to proceed with termination of
pregnancy. I stand for the topic since I believe every person should have the right and freedom to
take decisions for what he or she feels is correct which is why they must have the right to take
the decision of their own life and not being judged about the same. The cons section opposes the
proposition that I hold regarding the topic because I believe that it should it allowed for any
human being to take this decision. The three premises in the cons section that I will be taking up
are, abortion is murder, fetuses feel pain during the process of termination and forbids the growth
and swear taken by doctors pertaining to their profession.
Topic sentence: Abortion is a form of murder
The cons believe that abortion is a form of murder and should not be carried out because the
killing of any innocent life is wrong even if the child has not yet been born. The government
assumes that unborn babies are also human beings and terminating pregnancy is tried to end a
human life. The interesting or helpful topic about this view is the fact that they consider unborn
babies as humans. Considering that termination is carried out at a very early stage perceiving that
these fetuses are babies are interesting. If I keep faith in this view I would notice that actually
somewhere down the line the point that has been raised has a validity owing to the fact that the
smallest unborn is also a family of homo sapiens and has all the right to survive and have his life.
The idea that seems true in this proposition is the fact it is actually an attempt of saving an
unborn because he relies completely on other people for life and if his life will be taken like this
then there will be no scope of producing more babies in this world. I feel this is true under such
conditions where in parents feel that they are being bound by the responsibility of a child and
therefore they do not wish to take this step. This is why I feel one should make an attempt to
save lives that are being spoilt in this manner.
Topic sentence: Fetus feels pain during abortion
The next cons present the view that fetuses feel pain during the process of removal of them from
the body. The interesting or the helpful part in this view are the various studies that are being
carried out to check and know the amount of pain that these fetuses have been facing in all this
time and is it really true that the fetuses do feel the pain. I would rather notice the fact that there
are studies proving that fetuses feel a kind of most primitive response to the pain which is a
spinal flex. There have been studies stating the fact that fetuses d feel pain in their very first
trimester and that fetus is beyond 20 weeks then it is bound to experience pain. In believing its
view I noticed that there is excruciating pain that is caused to the fetus because of this kind of
operation. While performing the termination on a 12 week child it has been showed that people
can see the mouth of child open and him feeling pain in all that process. This idea is true under
the sense that it has been stated owing to the fact that since it has been established by medical
standards hence we might believe it to be true. There is life inside and that life will be pained if
anything surgical is performed to it. Therefore this is a concept that has to be believed no matter
what.
Topic sentence: Morally incorrect for medical practitioners since it is against their
profession.
The next cons position that is presented is in the fact that it is morally not right for the doctors
who take an oath during the medical process that they shall be involved only with saving human
life and nothing more than that. The reason that makes this fact more interesting is that while
they are swearing in oath for their profession there is one section that debarred them for
providing any kind of contraception to women to end the lives of the new born in any manner.
Hence this makes it all the more erroneous for women who cannot undertake such a task alone
and will need medical help for the same. IN believing this view I will notice that yes this stands
to be right since what I feel is that it is only into the women that relies the responsibility and also
the medical practitioners who have the sole responsibility of giving birth to new life. Therefore
in this utmost sense I would prefer to believe that killing it is going against the professional vows
that are taken. Moreover this is true under conditions here people do it knowingly just for fun
and then try aborting the child once it is conceived. We as human beings have no right to take
somebody else's life and we are prohibited by it not only by law but also by God almighty.
Hence it is up to us to know that we cannot follow this practice of termination.
Conclusion
After this study I would like to believe that initially I was of the opinion that every human being
has the right and responsibility to take the decisions of their lie and shape their life as per what
they want but eventually during the course of this discussion I would say that the points stated
here are too valid to go against them citing the majority of them are justified under the rule of
law or God. It is for us to control and know how to use the contraceptive measures to get into
any such conditions and if we are into it then we have no right to need up a humble life and
therefore we should then proceed with it. It is into our lives that we need to know what is best
and that is not weighing all options that are possible in every aspect.
