Outline for Proposal
1.1 Introduction

o Justification why your study is being conducted. (Research Aims)
1.2 Nature of the problem (issue)
Clearly and precisely state the existing issue or problem. The problem statement (issue) should not discuss the symptoms but rather state the known facts that represent the problem
o What is the research issue?
o Why is it issue and why now?
1.3 Purpose of the study (research Objective)
1.4 Research Questions
o Research questions provide a scope that will be covered in your study. They are precise extension of the purpose of the study that require answer to the research questions.

o What factors that influences or contributes to your topic.
o Make a critical link with the research question to be investigated. It compares and contrasts factors, facts, relationship, and outcome of the analysis from the experts in the field.
3.0 Research Design and Methodology
o General plan of how you will go about answering your research question(s).
3.1 Type of Investigation
o What is the classification of your research : exploratory (to clarify your understanding of a problem, such as if you are unsure of the precise nature of the problem), descriptive or explanatory
o The rationale for choosing your research type.
o What is your research approach: Qualitative, Quantitative (deductive approach and inductive approach will be applied) or Mix method. Give a brief explanation on your research approach.

3.3 Data Collection Method (survey or secondary)
o Explain how are you going to collect data (e.g. postal questionnaire, self-administered questionnaire, telephone, focus group) why you have chosen this approach.
o Your secondary data source. What is data source, who will collect, how will be collected, do you need to pay to obtain your secondary data.
3.4 Sampling Method
o If your data collection method id survey than it could be probability or non-probability sampling design. The survey could probability or non-probability sampling.
o If you sampling method is non-probability than which approach and why you use that approach.

o What are accessibility issues that you might encounter when you collect the data/
o How are going to manage the accessibility issue
o Ex. If you are going to collect survey approach what are the problems that you may encounter. Explain
