Critically assess the assigned articles for the coverage of the specific event. Evaluate the
agenda of the publication and how it affected the way the author presented the event. Your
objective is to determine if the event was presented in a way that served a specific agenda or
view (this is professor's description).
1 st - select the publication (BBC), profile of the publication, thesis statement
Is needed to know either the publication is objective, subjective or biased.
Be sure that the Thesis Statement is consistent with the rest of your assignment
2 nd - second guessing: how BBC covers the Arab News on this context
3 rd –establish the communality between the articles you read
4 th –figure out the philosophy of the publication (critics)-are they objective or always
subjective?
