Topic: A current issue in Organisational Behaviour.
Task Details: required to analyse a range of literature in relation to the given topic. Following the
analysis, will be required to make supported recommendations to answer the question posed. need to
apply their own interpretation and judgement to the question, based on approved and valid research
(see Research Requirements below).
Research expected to support conclusions and recommendations with
suitable Requirements: references, including the text and a MINIMUM of 6 peer reviewed
academic journal articles. Other appropriate, industry valid sources should also be used.
Assessment Type: Research Essay – 2500 (+/- 10%) words in essay format.
The word count excludes the cover sheet, contents page, references, appendices, and illustrations
(e.g. diagrams, graphs and tables)
Purpose: to research organisational behaviour theory and to examine and critically analyse one
aspect of organisational behaviour in depth.
What is an ethical leader and how do ethical leaders differ from other
leaders? What are the factors that promote or hinder the development of
ethical leadership in organisations (e.g., personal characteristics of leaders
and what characteristics of a leader's environment)?
