In this assessment task, Learners will critically analyse and undertake a literature review in order to synthesise their current understandings of sustainability issues for financial approaches, holistic investment strategy and decision making process, as well as capital structure including the cost of capital and present their analysis in a written Report. . You should get your publications and their categorisation approved by your Paper Facilitator. Once you have your six sources approved, you should complete the review of these selected sources of information and sum 1) Review class notes, designated readings and preparatory activities and formative assessment task learning 2) Critically evaluate the six sources of information paying close attention to how current the information is before reporting it 3) Do not report information verbatim; rather, critically analyse and summarise the information you collect, and then present your summarised analysis in a compelling manner 4) Make good use digital resources, libraries and relevant contacts who can provide information about these topics when completing this assessment 5) Make sure to clearly acknowledge any help you receive and cite all sources of information clearly and in accordance to APA style of referencing Report Requirements: - Cover Page - Acknowledgements - Introduction - Summary of literature reviewed - Critical evaluation/analysis of literature reviewed - Conclusions - References in accurate APA format Marking Criteria: Marks may be awarded as set out below and will depend on nature and quality of Learner’s response and understanding Assessment Criteria Marks Available (1) Overall quality of Report (spelling and grammar; compelling writing style, presentation) -1.5 mark (2) Proper in-text citation and accurate referencing in APA style -1.5 mark (3) Relevance of publications -3 mark (4) Title page is included and is complete - 1 mark (5) Introduction provides background information that is engaging and leads to a clear purpose statement (1 mark) Relevance to topics is articulated well (1 mark) At least three main discussion points of the literature review are clearly identified in the purpose statement (3 marks) total -5 mark (6) Summary reflects an accurate and concise description of the literature reviewed including background, purpose, method and conclusion - 4 mark (7) Analysis is smooth showing logical flow of ideas covering: How sustainability issues affect the various sectors of finance and financial approaches (3 marks) Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues for a holistic investment strategy and decision-making process (4 marks) Principles of capital structure including the cost of capital for business sustainability (3 marks) total 10 mark (8) Detailed conclusions are reached from evidence offered and cover all the three areas analysed above - 4 mark and total mark 30 Note to Assessor: Assessor should be informed by the generic Marking Rubric-Performance Criteria in the Learner Programme
