The aim of this project is to demonstrate the understanding of various aspects of Call Admission Control (CAC) scheme and to design a simple threshold based CAC scheme for wireless network.
Requirements
1. Call admission control (CAC) is an important scheme for ensuring Quality of Service (QoS) in wireless network.
a ) Discuss the QoS parameters which are usually taken into consideration while making the CAC decision. (30% of the score)
b) Compare various CAC scheme briefly. A table comparing various characteristics would be helpful. (30% of the score)
c) Design a CAC scheme in Matlab that simply checks the expected received SNR in dB and either accept or reject based on certain threshold. To demonstrate it's performance, take 20 users and allocate received SNR randomly in the range of 0 to 20dB. For various threshold of 5, 10 and 15 dB your code should be able to demonstrate how many of them are admitted. You must also analyse the achieved result. (40%)
