This unit applies to individuals who either work in a team or individually in order to develop a system to specification and use software management tools in order to manage the delivery of the system within time and budget parameters.

Project Scenario
As the project manager of a leading IT company, you have been asked to work on a project that would span across 6 to 8 months.
The project is an exclusive E-Commerce website that deals with gift items like customised mugs, flowers, greeting cards, and other gift accessories.
Prior projects built under previous management went above the deadline and hence resulted in minor losses. The project sponsor maintains that due to unforeseen market changes, the project will be worthless if not received by the deadline.
In order to achieve a success this time, the sponsor emphasises on accurate project management using proven development methodologies and software management tools.
