Accounts and banking software
A) The main aim of this project is to develop a system that helps a person to get their bank information and thus being able to compare with the other physical documents. The physical records are receipts, transactional documents and checks. The bank information would be extracted from the internet and the physical documents would be verified with the help of a check scanner.
B) The project design would be split into two parts. One component for Bank Information Extraction or BIE and another component Physical Document Extraction or PDE. These components help to share a database which enables it to share and match data within the system itself. The BIE component can be downloaded from http://www.finappstore.com, and the PDE component can be downloaded from https://www.outwit.com/products/docs as well.
C) Does the system is full-proof, and it is workable at most of the organizations? Is this the answer to all the troubles faced in the field of financial data and costing related problems of an organization? Can it be made public so that the common people could take its help?
D) The search terms that would be used in Google Scholar to research for literature are “Optical Character Recognition”, “Java Servlets”, “Secure Socket Layer”, and “External Flash Drive Encryption Program”. The journals used would be limited to peer reviewed journals only, as they provide up to date information.
E) The database management would help to make sure that nobody is tampering with the records (Pratt, 2009) and it can also be downloaded with the help of a micro controller (LCDEarth, 2009). It must be kept in mind the accuracy rates are calculated in various ways, but the two most popular methods are an error of full word rate and character by character rate (Suen, 1998).

Marks:
A. Field of research.
I think you have misunderstood the nature of this unit. Thi s is about producing a research project, using secondary data as your core information source, analysing that data, and answering a question that is RELEVANT TO YOUR MAIN DEGREE AT CQU…i.e. marketing, managmenent, HR, or accounting. Not a practical project on software… I’ll give you some marks, but this is entirely wrong…
There should be a solid thread, a solid connection, between your field (in this case marketing) your topic, your scholarly literature (with theory and other findings as a background) your secondary data, and then finally your research question and method of analysing it. All of these things should be ALIGNED nicely, that is, be related to or FIT WITH each other. The more closely aligned the better. If it reasonably well aligned, that’s also OK.
B. Source of Secondary Data. You’re going to have to construct a project from scratch Ramya.. To fully understand what I mean by secondary data, please review:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=660&v=rgAq0I_si_k
https://moodle.cqu.edu.au/pluginfile.php/492031/course/section/113044/primary%20and%20secondary%20data%20sources%20and%20research.pdf
So you need to firstly, find data, locate some variables in it and do some original analysis to it… It’s not enough to find some mention of findings (whether numbers or words) in someone else’s report or website, and then just report them on to us in your final project. That’s using that material as a ‘secondary’ or ‘primary’ SOURCE…. We want you to do something, some kind of ‘cooking’ and ‘cleaning’ to the data, so you can talk about something even SLIGHTLY new, something you created in this research project.
C. Research Questions/Aims/Hypotheses.
Remember that you need to answer your research questions WITH the data…not with your readings on the subject. Your readings on the subject will illuminate the background to your research, and perhaps be useful in discussing your research. Your research question needs to refer to variables that are present in the database or databases you’ve identified in B (above). So if your research question was to examine the “impact of online marketing on the sale of luxury goods in the Middle East” I would expect to find that your data contained some data on the sale of luxury good in the Middle East, and also data on the use of online marketing and NORMAL (not online) marketing, so you could do some kind of comparison. It would be great if you had similar data for a country that was NOT in the Middle East, so you could say things like “the evidence I’ve presented suggests that online marketing seems to be powerful in the marketing of luxury goods in Canada, in Kuwait traditional marketing still seems to be more potent.” Remember in your conclusions you should NOT claim things you have NOT found in your analysis.
D. Search terms. . We were looking for a set of terms you could put into Google and get nice sharp results that would suit your topic By using quote marks in a careful way you can bring the results down, and by removing quote marks but using the EXACT professional terms like inflation or motivation you will bring the amount of results up. Have you tried to use these terms in Google Scholar to see what you get?.
Are your terms the only and the best terms (from a disciplinary point of view) to describe the constructs/topic you are aiming at? Have you checked in the textbook(s) from your previous units to see what are the right key terms for the topic you are looking at? Keep your terms short, (in quote marks for more than one word, but try not use more than three words in a row in a search term, otherwise you will get NO ‘hits’).
E. Sentences, references.
Your REFERENCES ARE NOT PEER REVIEWED JOURNAL ARTICLES.
You have been careless with APA style. I’m not going to teach you how to do APA style…I’ve got a section on the Moodle site (Referencing: We Expect You To Get This Right), which you SHOULD DEFINITELY refer to. Every little thing counts here. So spaces between words. Full stops and commas. Correct capitalisation. It’s a quite simple recipe, as long as you stick to books and journals… If you want to reference other things, you will need to a proper APA style guide, and be super careful.
If you feel you are struggling on how to reference, have a close read of a few articles published in peer reviewed papers and you will see how they reference, and the kind of words they use. Also check out the Academic Phrasebank (at the University of Manchester)…a great resource.
Remember in your ‘minimum of 20 articles’ target for the final assignment to focus on peer-reviewed scholarly publications as a base…and then you can have some industry sources on top of that.
Additional advice
Please note it is really important to follow direct, clear instructions. If you don’t do so, this in itself causes a high risk of failure in this unit.
In your final two assignments, make sure you are super careful with spelling and if possible get an English-as-a-first-language student or friend to check your work.
You are facing a struggle now Ramya.
