Teacher to write down what students are saying. Students listen to teacher then respond. Pre listening To check students understanding of topic 2m T-C small groups Divide class into 4 teams of 5. Teacher goes around the table as students tell each other about the picture, teacher asks questions like why do you think there is a boy in the picture? Students get into teams of 5. Discuss about the picture. Pre- listening To elicit and introduce new vocabulary 3m T-C Put the picture of Romulus and Remus on the board. Ask students what they see in that picture. Teacher to fill in words children did not mention. Students can volunteer coming up to write what they see or say it out loud while the teacher write it on the board. To elicit and introduce new vocabulary 4m St-class Pass around the hand out to students and explain they have to match the words to its meaning. Students have their own hand out to complete. Frist listening To listen to an audio text 2.5m T-C Play the audio text while student try to listen and comprehend. Students to listen to audio text. Second listening To listen to audio text intensively 4m St-class Pass around the hand out to students and explain they have to fill in the gaps while listening to the audio text. Students have their own hand out to complete. Practice To peer mark and work in pairs. 8m St-class Teacher will reveal the correct answer after the class completes handout. Students pair up to peer mark. Practice To practice lesson learnt 10m St-class Teacher then explains that students are to work in groups of 5 and interview students about what it would be like if they were raised by animals. Students allowed to use previous hand out as guide. Students work in groups of 5’s tale turns interviewing friends on what it would be like to be raised by animals. Practice To practice speaking 10m St-class Teacher tells students that they can volunteer to share with the class about what they discussed in their groups. Students to volunteer from groups to speak in front of class about the interview they had with their friends. Feed back/ correction (if time) To conclude lesson and provide/get feedback 5m T-C Teacher can provide positive feedback on students’ performance and if sufficient time, tell the class what the teacher would feel if she was raised by animals. Students to raise questions and provide feedback if any.
