For the second assignment you will be put into groups of three (3) and each group will then select which project they wish to plan further and execute.  You may select a project in your work environment. In that case you need to be able to complete a defined deliverable for the project this semester and you need to work with a team of at least three (3) people in your organisation.  A brief description of the project selected must be e-mailed to the course convenor ([email protected]) by 16 August for approval. The following is a list of possible projects that can be done. These projects will be allocated on a first come first served basis.  Generate a template for students to use generate a project charter with content controls etc. Build in as many automation features as possible. Generate a video on how to use it.  Arrange the student awards ceremony for the department of Business.  Arrange a fund raiser for the city mission. Liaise with the hospitality students to make the food and the retail students to handle cash.  Arrange an outing for Operations management students to a factory and complete all health and safety documentation.  Arrange an internet of things Meetup for the relevant departments in Ara.  Generate a Powtoon video on any advanced topic in project management  Implementation of the project plan that you developed for AMPM600 in the PTB simulator. You are free to use additional journal articles if you wish (Please note that only academic journal articles may be used, not website and other non-academic sources). The introduction to why project management is important must reference the information discussed during the introduction session in the first class and available on Moodle. The following must be discussed:  The causes of project success and failure.  The amount of money wasted on failed projects.  What practices organisations are can adopt to improve project success rates and how this information will be used on your project. In the introduction briefly discuss how the project you have selected will prepare you for the projected workforce in 2020 as discussed in article on the Future Workforce available on Moodle. All information must be properly referenced using APA referencing. (15 marks) B PROJECT CHARTER Generate a project charter for the project that you have selected. The project charter must contain the following sections:  Name and title of project.  Purpose or justification of the project.  Measurable project objectives and related success criteria.  Major project stakeholders.  High level requirements.  Assumptions and constraints.  High level project description.  High level risks.  Summary milestone schedule.  Summary budget.  Project approval requirements.  Assigned project manager responsibility and authority.  Name and authority of the sponsor or other persons authorising the project charter. (20 marks) C STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT STRATEGY Generate a stakeholder management strategy which lists the stakeholders, their influence and possible impact on project success. Document the potential strategies you will use to increase their positive influence and minimise potential disruptive influence on the project.
