©Swinburne University of Technology 1 Swinburne University of Technology INF80028 – Business Process Management Semester 2 – 2017 Assessment Task One – In-Class Tests Assessment Value = 30% Specifications During the semester 2, you are required to complete 3 open-books in-class tests. They will be all conducted during the normal tutorial classes. 3 tests will contribute total 20 marks to your final result. NOTE: Please list the date in your diary and make sure you attend tutorial classes on time. In-class Test 1: Level 1 BPMN (This test will contribute total 6 marks to the final result) The test will be conducted during the week 5’s (starts 28th August. 2017) tutorial classes. There will be some multiple choices questions and also a mini case study. Based on the mini case study provided, you are required to draw level 1 business process models. You don’t need computer for drawing all models. The test will be 40 mins. In-class Test 2: Level 2 BPMN (This test will contribute total 6 marks to the final result) The test will be conducted during the week 9’s (starts 2nd Oct. 2017) tutorial classes. Similar to test 1, there will be some multiple choices questions and a mini case study. Based on the mini case study provided, you are required to draw level 2 business process models. You don’t need computer for drawing all models. The test will be 40 mins. In-class Test 3: Resource allocation, capacity & performance analysis (This test will contribute total 8 marks to the final result) The test will be conducted during the week 12’s (starts 23rd Oct. 2017) tutorial classes. Scenarios will be provided, you will be asked to conduct performance analysis which includes calculation of, e.g., the process bottleneck, cycle time, unit load for each activity, expected daily durations for each activity, the resource class capacities. Extensions for the in-class tests All tests will be conducted during the fix tutorial classes. You should be aware of the date and time as in general we will not grant any extension. However, we will consider in the case of illness or extenuating personal circumstances during the day of the in-class test. You need to provide all necessary supporting evidence to the unit convener. Please refer to the unit outline ‘Extensions Policy’ section which has been written in accordance with Swinburne University's Extensions and Late Penalties policies. Without all necessary supporting evidence, your requirements will not be considered. If you email to your tutor with all necessary documents, make sure you get reply email from your tutor or convenor for confirmation.
