INFT 5020 Assignment 3
Due date: Sunday, 29 May 2016, 11:55pm
Weighting: 30% of course total marks
Submission: submit a single file in PDF format via learnonline
Complete this assignment in groups of 2-3 students. You must adhere to the groups published at
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1S2qv57rCEgcuSrhOm0xC5vMGoDw5DBXgcIvefuxa94/edit?usp=sharing .
Summarise and discuss the contributions to Enterprise Architecture outlined in the given texts in a 1-2 page
long executive summary, and present your findings in a 5-minute-long PowerPoint presentation to the class
in weeks 12 & 13.
This assignment consists of three parts:
1) The executive summary [due on May 29]
2) The PowerPoint presentation [due on May 29]
3) The oral presentation in class [due in Week 12/13]
The report shall be 500 words long, written in 11 pt black font using 1.5 line spacing.
Provide an appendix to the report where you briefly summarise the contributions each student has made to
this assignment. This summary should not exceed one paragraph per student. The appendix does not
contribute to the overall word limit. If you have concerns about adding this summary to the submission, or if
you wish to make a confidential comment about your group, please contact me.
The presentation shall comprise no more than 5 slides. You must use the presentation slides submitted to
learnonline for your oral presentation in Week 12/13, and you must be able to complete your presentation
in class within 5 minutes. The presentation schedule will be made available at a later date. It is strongly
recommended that you practise presenting before submitting the PowerPoint file. External students who
cannot attend the in-class presentations are required to record and submit a video (incl. audio) showing the
presenters.
Consider the following aspects when reviewing the given topic:
• What is the paper's relevance to Enterprise Architecture? What is its impact?
• What issue does it address or report about?
• What are the main contributions/findings relevant to Enterprise Architecture?
Ensure that your writing and presentation are suitable for an audience who are in general familiar with
Enterprise Architecture. However, do not assume that the audience will be familiar with the specific topic.
