Requirements You are required to submit a comprehensive series of photos with notation (min. 6 lines per photo) of a domestic, residential timber framed dwelling being constructed in Victoria. You are to follow the construction process from after the footings to lock-up stage. In order to achieve this outcome you must personally visit a site or sites at various stages of construction. You can use more than one site if the speed of construction is not fast enough on any one site to meet the submission date. All photographs need to have the address and date notated. The following ten stages are to be recorded : i. Sub floor – bearers and floor joists ii. Flooring – fitted (cut-in/strip) and Platform (sheet) iii. Wall Framing iv. Roof Framing v. Bracing Systems vi. External claddings – walls and roof vii. Internal linings – walls and ceiling viii. Window placement ix. Door Installation x. Insulation – sisalation (foil) and bulk (batts) NOTE : If you choose or need to enter a site you must gain permission first and must act responsibly and safely AT ALL TIMES. Submission Each stage needs an individual photos(s) with appropriate heading and relevant text. Relate the photograph and text to the standards. This assessment task covers 14% of your overall marks for this unit. This assessment must be handed to the teacher in class – see weekly schedule for due date. The work must be your own, you must take the photos yourself and prepare the report.
