Toolkit Items on p. 1] from BlackBoard TP101 Assessment tab  Task 4 – Report. Step 2  - Read TPP101 Assessment TASK 4 – GROUP REPORT Semester.pdf very carefully – there is a lot of information to understand but every single piece is necessary for successful completion of this task. Step 3  - Plan: If you are completing this report in pairs or a group, follow the instructions on the Group Report Action Plan and with your group members, complete this document. Your tutor MUST sign off on this document EACH WEEK and the completed and signed Group Report Action Plan must be submitted with your report. Note that you do not need a Group Action Plan if you are completing the report by yourself only. Step 4  - Prepare: A report is quite different in many respects from the summary/evaluation and argumentative essay you did in Tasks 1 and 2. If you have not written a report before, it is strongly recommended that you work your way through Chapter 10 of the TPP101 Workbook as this will introduce report writing skills. Step 5  - Review: If you have missed any lectures in weeks 9, 10, 11 or 12, or wish to review details, you can do this in two ways: 1. Mediasite recording: Each lecture is recorded and you can review this by going to: BlackBoard TP101 Learning Materials  TPP101 Semester – Lecture Recordings 2. Lecture PowerPoint slides: You can view these by going to: BlackBoard TP101 Learning Materials  Weekly eLectures, PowerPoints and Reading Materials Folder 3. You may also find the TPP101 Workbook useful to review the following skills you will need for this task assessment.  Chapter 5 – Writing Conventions  Chapter 6 – Searching Library Databases TPP101 – Task 4 Toolkit Image Credit: http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photography-toolkit-image24157707 Page 3  Chapter 7 – [Harvard] Referencing  Chapter 8 – Synthesising and Summarising Information Step 6  - Go to the tutorials: Tutorials in Weeks 10-13 are expressly for you to work, with your group members if applicable, on your report. You may ask your tutor specific questions, but they will not provide a feedback service on your report. Step 7  - The writing process: The TPP101 Workbook Chapter 10 as well as the TPP101 Business Report Format – Semester.pdf or TPP101 Scientific Report Format – Semester.pdf detail exactly how to present the information in your report. Follow these instructions to the letter. Step 8  - Check the marking rubric: Remember that the rubric [found in the Task Assessment sheet] is a guide to the quality of your content. Critically assess what you have written against the criteria of the rubric. This will help identify any weaknesses in your report. Step 9  - Final proof and edit: Once you have finished, carefully check your work against the check off list in the Task Assessment sheet to ensure that you have followed all requirements of this task. If you have specific concerns about your writing [eg: tone is not sufficiently academic or you are significantly over word count and don't know how to write more concisely] see an Academic Skills Adviser. Step 10  - Submit: Prepare your TPP101 Task 4 Report according to the instructions in the TPP101 Assessment TASK 4 – REPORT Semester.pdf and in this order:  Assignment Cover Sheet – note that everyone MUST SIGN in person  Hardcopy of your report – preferably printed in colour  If you are completing in pairs or a group, The Group Action Plan, Weeks 10-13 of the completed and signed [by your tutor] This is a hardcopy submission to the TPP drop box at your location [Sippy Downs - located on the ground floor of Hbuilding; Noosa and Gympie] Remember to date stamp the Assignment Cover Sheet in both positions, retaining the receipt portion for your records.
