Assume that you were appointed the Construction Manager to assist Project Management Team in managing construction of the Gellibrand DEPI Depot (SRM752-T1 2015) project. Necessary design and project management information is provided in CloudDeakin ("2015 case PROJECT" folder). ASSIGNMENT TASK Based on the above assumption your tasks are as follow: 1. Introduce (very briefly) the Gellibrand DEPI Depot (SRM752-T1 2015) project (scope of work, project procurement, stakeholders, etc) 2. Detail scope (deliverables and processes of constructing the project outcome) of the Gellibrand DEPI Depot (SRM752-T1 2015) project 3. Define your role as the Construction Manager on this project 4. Identify strategic, tactical and operational challenges currently facing PM discipline 5. Identify strategic, tactical and operational challenges currently facing AEC industry 6. Identify strategic, tactical and operational challenges that the Gellibrand DEPI Depot (SRM752-T1 2015) project is likely to face at its construction phase 7. Identify and briefly outline a number of feasible organizational structures for managing medium-scale, local-projects (including but not limited to traditional organizations, pure product, projected organizations, matrix organizations, and relationship - based organizational structures such as IPD, Partnering) 8. Recommend p r o j e c t organization most appropriate for the construction phase of the Gellibrand DEPI Depot (SRM752-T1 2015) project. Your recommendation to the project stakeholders should provide detailed description and justification for the proposed structure 9. Benchmark/evaluate your recommendation against other feasible organisational structures that could be employed on the Gellibrand DEPI Depot (SRM752-T1 2015) project 10.
