Assignment title Case study of Professional Leadership in the Early Years. Purpose of this assignment To enhance your own leadership styles and qualities within a multi-disciplinary context in relation to the individual needs of children, whilst working in an Early Years setting Task 1 (LO 1,2,4) You will provide an academic response to the following case study with professional early years knowledge and understanding of an Early Years setting: You are the assistant manager of an early years setting, and need to prepare your team for the onset of the newly proposed 30 hour free provision for childcare in your local area. You currently have 4 full time level 3 qualified members of staff, a cook & cleaner. Your opening hours are from 7.30 – 6pm. You are registered to take a maximum of 26 children. You are located in the Crumpsall area of Manchester. You need to consider the demographics and needs of your nursery, current children's additional needs. You will need to carefully consider how you will deploy your current team and current links to external agencies. Throughout this case study you will clearly evaluate your approach to your leadership and professionalism during this period of transition and the impact this transition has on the quality of care provided.
