ASSIGNMENT Strategic HR increases an organization's ability to achieve its vision, mission and strategic objectives. This is done by developing (not in a vacuum) HR strategies (initiatives) that align with the organization's direction. Birkatul Al Mawz is an established business organisation in Oman. However, the last three years their overall performance has been deteriorating with lower than average profitability. They have also been experiencing high turnover among their employees. Motivation level seem to be very low and upon a thorough investigation and self - reflection, the management concluded that the problem lies with their compensation strategy. The senior management is therefore, thinking of reviewing their compensation policies. Assuming you are hired as an HR strategist by Birkatul Al Mawz critically evaluate how the linking of their compensation policies and practices with their organisation's strategic business objectives can help boost their employees motivation and be a source to achieve competitive advantage.
