In groups of four – six members, you are required to work as a team to undertake a tourism site audit groups will be directed to choose Hillary's Boat Harbour for the site audit. All group members are required to visit on the same day. Based on the tourism and hospitality product, sustainability cost – benefit analysis and Butler's Lifecycle model your group is required to write up a report of the group's findings. The report should contain: 1. A cover page containing names and student numbers and a group photo taken at the selected destination. 2. An introduction to the selected tourism audit site (300 words before maps and photos, must be referenced) 3. A review of tourism and hospitality product (supply) at the site. Include a 1 paragraph introduction to the primary tourism and hospitality sectors (fully referenced) (800 words before photos) 4. A sustainability cost - benefit analysis of the site and a discussion on how the destination managers could minimise the costs and maximise the benefits Include a 1 paragraph introduction (fully referenced) to the sustainability analysis( (1 page cost - benefit analysis table and an 800 word discussion) 5. An assessment of where the site falls within the Butler lifecycle with the site marked on the Butler's Lifecycle diagram (½ a page) and a justification of where you placed the site based on the analysis of the tourism product and the sustainability cost-benefit analysis. Include a 1 paragraph introduction to the Butler lifecycle (fully referenced) (600 words of writing) 6. A conclusion to your tourism site audit including some overall recommendations for the site based on your analysis of the tourism product, your cost – benefit analysis and its position in the Butler Lifecycle (300 words) 7. An appendix which contains your site audit tools with the raw data you filled in when undertaking the site audit at the destination (as many pages as necessary) Please note that maps maybe downloaded from the internet but the source must be provided. All photos are to be originals taken to specifically highlight key points discovered on your site audit. All photos must be discussed in your assignment to demonstrate a point – avoid over using images as, in a tourism audit, a picture is not worth a thousand words as the reader needs to understand the significance of the image. Formatting the assignment: * Cover page, student numbers and names and assignment title, photo of group on site, * All pictures must be original and labelled and referred to in the text (e.g. Figure 1: car park) * Page limit = MAX 3,000 words + appendix (site audit tools and raw data) *12pt font, 1.5 line spacing, double space between paragraphs, page numbers bottom * Full APA in-text referencing is required * Submit assignment via Turnitin on Monday at 0800HRS week 9, having earlier uploaded (week 8) a draft to check and correct for any plagiarism issues.
